Amount Owed by Grade Level Percentages
The chart below shows the range in which students from each grade
level is obligated to paying. The percentages were derived by dividing
how many students owe between a certain amounts by the total number
of students in each grade level. In our survey, we asked the question:
“How much do you owe total on all your credit cards?”
The possible choices were $0-$500, $501-$1000, $1001-$2000, $2001-$3000,
and $3000 or more. More than 50% of sophomores, juniors, and seniors
have a combined balance from $0-$500. 67% of freshmen owe from $1001-$2000.
